A Q&A With The Owners Of Rose & Honey Glow Studio

We love supporting our ambassadors as they impact the world with their own focus on wellness and self care. We sat down with Kristyn and Hayley who just opened a brand new skin care studio in Avon to ask them a few questions. Check out their responses, and be sure to check out their studio!

Introduce yourselves-

We are the dynamic duo behind Rose & Honey Glow Studio. We are friends turned business partners who's common goal is to make people feel beautiful on the inside and out. Kristyn, the "Rose" of Rose & Honey is a veteran esthetician who loves cats, adjustments from Dr. Aimee, and all things beauty.

Hayley the "Honey" of Rose & Honey is an esthetician who loves nature, visiting Great Lakes Health & Wellness, and drinking tea.

Our services at the Glow Studio include but aren't limited to facials, chemical peels, lash extensions, dermaplaning and waxing.

How long have you been aestheticians?

Kristyn has been an esthetician for 7 years and Hayley 2 years.

What is your favorite service to perform?

Hayley: Chemical peels for sure! I love the results that they produce.

Kristyn: Dermaplaning with any facial. Dermaplaning gives the skin a brighter and smoother appearance.

What is an under utilized service?

Kristyn & Hayley: Body Treatments! Everyone focuses so much on their faces and necks that they forget about the rest of their body.

What is one thing you wish everyone would make sure they do to maintain good skin?

Kristyn: Wash your face at night and remove makeup at the end of the day. This helps prevent clogged pores and breakouts.

Hayley: TONE! Because toning preps the skin for serums, masks, moisturizers, etc. It allows for your products to penetrate deeper.

Aside from facecare routine, what other activities/habits are important for healthy skin?

Hayley: Drink water!! Skin is an organ and without water, organs can not function properly or at their best.

Kristyn: Diet can play a HUGE role in breakouts and skin health. A lot of times the skin will show signs of a poor diet. For example, eating a lot of sugar and carbs can be shown on the skin as inflammation and acne.

If you had to choose one product (only one) to use, what would it be?

Kristyn: A good exfoliator. Chemical or mechanical as long as it gets rid of my dead skin cells!

Hayley: Cleanser!

Talk about preventive services vs. services when a problem pops up.....

Prevention is key! Proper skincare to us means using quality products at home AND professional treatments/facials with your esthetician. Getting a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks will prevent some skin concerns and keeps your routine and skincare habits in check. It is SO nice that we have access to techniques and treatments that can aid in the recovery of skin issues and blemish emergencies. Getting a treatment only when a problem pops up doesn't prevent that problem from happening but getting treatments regularly will.

Feel free to add any other fun facts/information/advice :

We believe that skin care is a part of your overall health. Our skin is our largest organ and we should take care of it, not just because we want you to look your best, but to feel your best.

Drink your water, wash your face, exfoliate 2-3 times a week and glow!
